Segway launches delivery robot express delivery industry revolution is within reach

Intel recently unveiled Loomo Goa, an autonomous delivery robot made by Segway Robotics. It can not only work like an ordinary Segway balancing car, but also can independently deliver goods by sensing the surrounding environment through built-in sensors.

In a live demo, Intel's president, Brian Krzanich, asked Loomo go to bring him a bottle of water. After hearing the instruction, he set out for water. It then returned with a box containing Krzanich's water.

More eye-catching is the advanced technology that Loomo go has. Its automatic driving power comes from Intel's RealSense technology, which allows it to see the world around it and navigate around obstacles.

During the presentation, Intel also showed the real-time images seen by the Loomo go visual processor to show viewers what the world looked like in its eyes. RealSense also supports accurate gesture control, detects all 22 joints of the hand, scans 3D environments, identifies users through facial recognition, or detects human emotions.

Loomo go also interacts with humans through pronunciation, which currently understands English and Chinese. Although it has the ability to drive automatically, operators can also set it up to follow its own movement. Segway says Loomo go can help the elderly and other patients, or help guests in stores and hotels.
